This is a stunningly original presenting Silver Shadow sedan
finished in Caribbean Blue with dark blue Connolly leather interior
accented by light blue seat piping and a Wedgewood blue Wilton wool
carpet with dark blue leather binding. This is all matched in
nicely with the exterior Caribbean blue and dual hand-painted fine
lines in dark blue to the waist-rails and hubcap beauty trim rings.
This Silver Shadow sedan was the personal car of esteemed and
well-known Rolls-Royce restorer, Mr Simon Curzon, the owner and
operator of Zenith Motor Cars of Missouri whose work in any classic
Rolls-Royce, especially Silver Cloud ranks amongst the best in the
world. Many, not just a few, of Mr Curzon's cars have won multiple
awards within the RROC to include Best in Class and Best in Show.
This Silver Shadow was pampered in the same manner that Zenith
Motors does with all its cars and, as such, there is no surprise
this car just took 1st prize at the RROC annual meet. This coveted
award says almost everything one needs to know about the quality
and condition of this motorcar. Exterior-wise, this Silver Shadow
has undergone a very high-end repaint some 7 years ago at great
expense and, as such, presents absolutely stunningly. It is
entirely consistent maintaining a full and deep lustre. The entire
interior is also in equally beautiful condition but, in contrast to
the exterior, is completely factory original. The leather has never
been redyed and simply "hide-fed" and is all the original and
factory Connolly hides. The leather is super supple without any
rips and tears. The rest of the interior is just as beautiful.
Excellent head-liner with carpets like new including those in the
boot which carry that gorgeous Wedgewood blue Wilton carpeting with
dark blue piping. The African burl walnut wood throughout the
interior is all very good albeit with some minor hairline fractures
in the clear. Not everywhere, though. The rear doors are pretty
much perfect, some minor lines on the front doors and a couple of
blemishes on the dash. I do not think it warrants being refinished
and I would certainly not recommend doing so. But, of course, as we
are one of the leading Rolls-Royce wood refinishers, so we can do
it if you are of the "very fussy" variety. I very much endorse
"good originality" as opposed to trying to make something perfect.
With the beauty of only the best of burl walnut, the wood in this
Silver Shadow displays a very intense grain and colour. From rich
yellow ochres to rich reds and browns. It is truly stunning. Door
panels, interior chrome work, gauges and instruments are all in
very fine condition. The car sports its original push button radio
and the factory fitted Pioneer 8-track player. Mechanically, the
car is absolutely outstanding. Under the care of Mr Curzon,
everything needing doing has been done and maintained rigorously,
with all the hydraulics/braking system reviewed and working well
and as it should. Have a look at the photographs of how perfect the
engine bay presents. The engine truly purrs and gear-change is
smooth and quiet. The car is very spritely in power which is a good
sign of a well-cared for and good condition motor. And the
underside, besides being entirely rust and scale free is like that
of a 10 year old example. Absolutely and simply stunning! The
odometer reads 69,000 miles and although not verifiable, the car is
unquestionably a low mileage example and we have no reason to doubt
its accuracy. Tyres are near new Hankook 235/75-15 whitewalls with
the hubcaps straight and the stainless steel shiny (recently
machine and then hand buffed). As you would expect, it comes with
her correct jack, tool kit and owner's manual. A/C blows ice cold
and the heater works well. Electricals have all been serviced so
windows, seats and features & functions work as they should. All
interior and exterior lighting has been checked with all bulbs and
lamps operating correctly. Notwithstanding the car'
