*1967 Alfa Romeo 1600 Spider Duetto*The 1960s was a golden era for
small, fun to drive sports cars, and Alfa Romeo's Spider sat right
at the top of the list. The combination of its stunning,
Pininfarina bodywork, paired with a rev-happy twin-cam inline 4,
these cars sound and drive as good as they look. This 1967 Spider
Duetto is fitted with the 1600 variant of the engine, and benefits
from a "rolling restoration" over the past 26 years.Finished in a
unique shade called Blu Celeste, this Spider was treated to a full
repaint, along with further cosmetic refreshments in 2023 by the
pervious owner. The car remains in very good condition throughout,
and is free from any major modifications, appearing completely as
it rolled out of the factory from the exterior. It sits on 15-inch
steel wheels with Alfa Romeo hubcaps, and behind the wheels sit
four wheel disc brakes. A black cloth soft top has been fitted and
remains in very good shape. The interior is classic Alfa Romeo -
with a dashboard displaying everything you need, and nothing you
don't. Drop into the black vinyl driver's seat and you are met by a
large 2-spoke steering wheel, which frames two large white-on-black
gauges displaying speed and revs. To your right are a trio of
gauges canted towards the driver, including fuel level, oil
pressure and fuel level, with an AM/FM radio below them. Something
that will be familiar to any Alfa Spider owner is the highly
positioned shift lever, meaning the driver barely has to move their
hand from the steering wheel to change gear - it may look odd at
first but after a few moments behind the wheel, it becomes second
nature.Under the hood sits the famed Alfa Romeo DOHC Inline-4 which
displaces 1570cc in this example. Breathing through a pair of Weber
side draft carburetors, the engine produces 125 horsepower and
loves to be wound out. This engine received a rebuild around the
year 2000, and received a new fuel sender and oil pressure sender
in 2024. During that same service, the throw out bearing for the
car's 5-speed manual gearbox was replaced, as were the front brake
calipers. The result is a car that runs and drives absolutely
wonderfully.Summer is here and there is no better time to enjoy an
Italian roadster than right now! This Alfa Spider is a wonderful
example that represents the best of 1960s Italian design, and has
been carefully maintained to ensure an enjoyable and dependable
drive.*Key Features* * Blu Celeste Over Black Vinyl Interior *
