This custom 1959 Chevrolet Corvette roadster is powered by a GM LS1
aluminum V-8 engine paired with a 4L60E automatic transmission and
power steering. Cooling is managed through a Be Cool radiator and
the vehicle is equipped with a Highway 22 wiring harness. It rides
on a Corvette Correction chassis with a C4 independent suspension.
Baer four-wheel power disc brakes and master cylinder provide
stopping power. The all-original 1959 Corvette body was
hand-stripped to bare fiberglass, placed on a rotisserie, smoothed
and refinished with tightened body gaps before being painted Viper
Red with white coves. The stainless trim and chrome components were
polished or replaced. Budnik wheels complete the exterior
appearance. The custom black leather interior by Al Knoch includes
a hand-stitched leather dashboard and door panels, Vintage Air
climate control, power windows, Nostalgic gauges and an AM/FM/MP3
sound system. The trunk compartment was smoothed and painted before
being finished with custom panels trimmed in hand-stitched
tuck-and-roll black leather and an embedded Corvette emblem.
Additional features include a detailed satin-finish engine
compartment and a detailed undercarriage.
