Very, very nice C1, simply a jewelry! This example ended up in Jon Bråten's possession in 1984 and he owned it until 2022. Bråten is a legend in the Norwegian Amcar context and has restored some of the finest American cars we have in Norway. This Corvette was started on restoration shortly after it ended up with Bråten and it has been 30 years since it was completed. But it has been driven little in the years since. In 2020, the engine was overhauled at Sarpsborg Motor and after this it has driven 1000-1500km, barely broken in. In 2021 it got a new cab (Morten Buland) in 2021 all the brakes (brake bands, cylinders etc.) were replaced and the car got new tires and a new windshield gasket in 2024. Everything works, even the radio and clock. The engine is a 283ci 230hp (the engine block is contemporary from a 1959 Corvette, the intake, headers are the car's original and the carburetor is the correct type but from a 1960 Corvette. The gearbox (4 speed manual) and rear axle are the car's original, but the rear axle has been upgraded with a new 3.08 ratio.
