This 1970 AMC Javelin SST Mark Donohue Edition is powered by a
390ci V-8 engine paired with a BorgWarner M11B three-speed
automatic transmission. It has been recently serviced and repainted
in its factory-correct Bittersweet Orange finish identified by the
original 79A paint code on the door tag. The VIN identifies the car
as a 390-V4-equipped example. The suspension features an
independent front system with upper control arms and ball joints,
along with rear leaf springs and hydraulic shock absorbers. Donohue
Edition equipment includes heavy-duty suspension components, power
steering, Ram Air induction and a limited-slip differential.
Stopping power is provided by 11-inch power front disc brakes with
10-inch rear drums. The interior includes an 8,000-rpm tachometer.
