This 1932 Packard Model 902 Standard Eight Rumble Seat Coupe is
powered by a rebuilt 319.2ci inline eight-cylinder engine rated at
110hp with a single-barrel updraft carburetor and a three-speed
synchromesh manual transmission. Equipment includes rear-wheel
drive, a 6-volt electrical system, Packard Green engine block,
porcelain-coated intake and exhaust manifolds, custom-made exhaust
and new wiring. The engine number matches the number listed on the
1933 sales receipt. The rebuilt transmission features a floor
shifter. Suspension consists of front and rear leaf springs and
shock absorbers with a Ride Control system. Stopping power is
provided by manual drum brakes. The exterior is finished in
two-tone green paint with red pinstriping and features a chrome
grille with "Goddess of Speed" ornament, chrome bumpers, twin
trumpet horns, turn signals mounted on the fenders, dual
side-mounted spare tires with chrome bands and mirrors,
chrome-trimmed running boards with rubber mats, side-folding hood
panels with chrome vent doors, black vinyl roof topper, rumble
seat, golf bag storage compartment, rear luggage rack with black
vinyl trunk box, chrome taillights, red wire wheels with Packard
center caps and wide whitewall bias-ply tires. The undercarriage is
painted green. The interior features a gray fabric split bench
seat, tan carpet with carpeted floor mats, gray and tan door panels
with burled wood trim, tan cloth headliner, rear storage
compartment, roll-down rear window and retractable silk rear window
shade. Additional features include a TropicAire heater box,
machine-turned gauge bezel, 100-mph speedometer, fuel, oil, battery
and temperature gauges, working dash lights, working horn, floor
push-button start, swing-away accelerator pedal, dual glove boxes,
swing-out windshield and leather-trimmed rumble seat with tan
carpet and footrest. Included are a Service Parts List Book,
Standard Service Manual, wiring diagrams and a binder of
restoration receipts.
