This 1969 Plymouth Road Runner convertible is powered by a
matching-numbers 383ci V-8 engine with original heads, original
intake manifold and original Carter AVS four-barrel carburetor,
mated to a 727 TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic transmission. Power is
sent through the original 8.75-inch Chrysler rear axle with 3.23
Sure-Grip gears. The engine features fresh orange paint on the
block, heads, valve covers, intake and water pump, along with
points ignition, power steering, Chrysler radiator and original HP
exhaust manifolds. Exhaust exits through newer mufflers and chrome
oval exhaust tips. The car is equipped with a stock suspension and
new Mopar XHD leaf springs. Stopping is handled by four-wheel
manual drum brakes with a dual-reservoir master cylinder. Finished
in B7 Jamaica Blue, the exterior features black hood stripes, dual
faux hood vents with red tops and 383 badges, dual side-by-side
headlights, fender-top turn-signal indicators, bright windshield
trim, belt moldings, left-hand remote racing mirror and chrome
bumpers. A power-operated black vinyl convertible top with glass
rear window is paired with a matching blue boot cover. The car
rides on chrome Cragar 15-inch wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial
T/A white-letter tires. The two-tone blue interior includes vinyl
bench seats, matching door panels, blue hook-and-loop carpet, blue
visors and a crack-free blue dash with factory gauges. Additional
interior features include working three-speed wipers, working heat
and fan controls, working Chrysler solid-state 2-watt AM
push-button radio, flip-up glovebox door with courtesy light and a
column shifter. Documentation includes folders of receipts and
ownership history, the original broadcast sheet and original fender
tag.
