This 1950 Chevrolet custom street rod named "Victory" is powered by
a fuel-injected 502ci big-block Chevrolet V-8 engine producing more
than 500hp and backed by a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission
with a B&M torque converter and Mooneyes Smart Shift digital
push-button system. Engine features include a COMP roller cam,
custom sheet metal intake manifold, custom stainless air intake,
aluminum heads and custom chrome valve covers with carbon-fiber
inserts. The engine bay features tucked spark plug wires and a
polished radiator concealed by a custom body-matched panel. The car
is equipped with Hooker headers, custom polished stainless-steel
exhaust and Stainless Specialties mufflers. Built over a 10-year
period, this custom Chevrolet was constructed as a Ridler Award
contender and Great 8 finalist. The fascia was redesigned with
Mercedes-Benz headlights and a custom chrome grille. Additional
modifications include a heavily modified hood, custom metal front
bumper and a roofline utilizing Dodge Neon front and rear glass.
The body features shaved trim, smoothed bodywork and subtle
taillights integrated into the rear bodywork. Finished in two-tone
PPG Chianti Red and Lamborghini Orange paint, with the lower body,
frame, suspension components and floor pans continuing the orange
finish. Airbrushed graphics include crossed flags inspired by the
Corvette emblem, simulated chrome trim, marbleized orange paint
accents and hand-outlined neon green striping. The car received
more than 28 show awards, including the PPG Dream Car Award, First
Place at Carlisle and multiple Super Chevy wins. Photos, magazines
featuring the car and a scrapbook of the build from day one are
