This custom 1968 Chevrolet Camaro restomod is powered by an
upgraded 496ci big-block V-8 engine equipped with Holley Dominator
fuel injection, aluminum heads, forged pistons, a competition
camshaft, Comp Cams lifters and pushrods, a Cloyes timing chain and
gears with timing cover, a Milodon 7-quart oil pan, a Melling
high-volume oil pump, 66-pound injectors, braided fuel lines, an
electric fuel pump and an HP Smart Coil ignition system. Power is
sent through an automatic transmission equipped with a custom
3,600-rpm stall converter and Stage III shift kit to a 12-bolt rear
end. The engine compartment also features custom black big-block
valve covers, polished engine components and an aluminum four-row
radiator. Exhaust exits through headers and a custom mandrel-bent
exhaust system with high-flow performance mufflers. The chassis is
equipped with a custom front suspension from Chris Alston's
Chassisworks, double-adjustable Varishock coilovers, a 1.125-inch
solid sway bar with urethane end links and power steering. The
exterior is finished in custom-mixed Red Carpet Rally Red with SS
decor, 496 badging, a painted black Rally stripe and a custom
2-inch cowl hood. It rides on 19-inch Intro Wheels wrapped in
Pirelli P Zero tires. The restored interior features custom leather
low-back bucket seats with matching rear seating, a center console
with a horseshoe shifter, a custom steering wheel and a custom
Bluetooth stereo system with professionally mounted speakers. This
Camaro comes with a binder of receipts and restoration photos
documenting the build.
