This custom 1929 Ford Model A Hi-Boy roadster underwent a complete
frame-off restoration completed by the owner (with the exception of
the interior). The all-steel body sits on 1932 Ford frame rails and
features a 1932 Ford grille shell. Power is provided by a 355ci
small-block Chevrolet V-8 engine with three two-barrel carburetors,
paired with a Muncie four-speed manual transmission with Hurst
shifter. The chassis is equipped with a Ford 9-inch Positraction
rear end with 3.50 gears and polished stainless-steel four-link
suspension. The front suspension includes a Super Bell dropped and
drilled aluminum I-beam, Super Bell Super Stopper brake kit with
polished Wilwood calipers and So-Cal Speed Shop stainless-steel
hairpins. Additional chassis components include polished
stainless-steel brake lines, polished aluminum fuel lines and a
polished aluminum driveshaft. Cooling is handled by a Walker copper
radiator. The body panels have been fit and finished, and the car
features a Rod Tops 2-inch chop. The custom interior includes
aluminum bomber seats, aluminum door panels, distressed leather
cushions and interior kick panels.
