six-cylinder engine paired with a three-speed manual transmission
on the column and a six-volt electrical system. The car remains in
stock configuration with a rear-wheel-drive drivetrain and rugged
chassis construction. Stopping power is provided by drum brakes.
Exterior features include rounded body lines, flowing fenders,
chrome trim, a split windshield and updated front-end styling, with
a sloping hood and grille design introduced for 1951. Interior
features include bench seating, a simple instrument cluster, a
large steering wheel and a spacious cabin layout. The Cranbrook was
