This custom 1948 Chevrolet 3100 pickup is powered by a 350ci V-8
engine mated to a three-speed automatic transmission with a
3,000-stall converter and a 3.73-geared rear end. The engine
features a 282 camshaft, Pete Jackson gear drive and dual Holley
carburetors mounted on a tunnel ram intake. The chassis includes a
Camaro subframe, ladder bars with leaf springs and ShockWave air
ride suspension, along with power steering. It is equipped with
front disc brakes. The exterior features an electrically operated
fiberglass tilt front end, a chopped top measuring approximately 4
inches and a custom bed that has been narrowed and channeled from a
late-model design. The body is finished with Sikkens special
effects paint with flame graphics transitioning from purple to gold
and green to silver, along with frenched headlights, taillights and
antenna, as well as a painted and polished frame. The interior
features gray tweed upholstery with Nissan bucket seats, Dakota
Digital instrumentation, a Lokar shifter and emergency brake, gray
tinted safety glass, power windows and air conditioning with heat
and defrost. Additional features include remote-control windows and
appearances in "Trucks" television programming and Jegs
advertisements. It rides on Center Line wheels measuring 15x5 in
front and 15x15 in the rear fitted with Mickey Thompson tires.
