Melanson Motors is proud to offer this amazing restomod 1972
Chevrolet El Camino. This nut and bolt restored example comes with
several tasteful upgrades for a more comfortable driving
experience. You would be hard pressed to find a nicer El Camino
anywhere. This restomod build started as a rust free Oklahoma car
and still retains its original panels and "born with" color
combination. It is powered by a strong running ZZ5 350 crate engine
making 400hp and 400ft-lbs of torque. The engine was purchased in
late 2014 and has about 3500 miles. It features Holley Sniper Fuel
Injection, A stainless baffled fuel tank with internal 60 psi fuel
pump, a Be Cool aluminum radiator, beautiful stainless exhaust with
Magnaflow mufflers and ceramic coated Doug's exhaust headers. The
transmission is a 700r4 overdrive automatic. It was rebuilt in 2014
(3500 miles ago) with Corvette internals and a 2600 stall
converter. The rear end is an Auburn positraction with 3.73 gears.
This El Camino has 4 wheel cross drilled power disc brakes. The
suspension is QA1 with four corner coilovers and 2" drop spindles.
It features power steering with a quick ratio steering box and Air
Conditioning for the ultimate comfortable driving experience. The
original color Mojave Gold paint is show quality and the body is
straight. All the gaps are excellent and the glass is great. All
the chrome and stainless on this Chevrolet is in great condition.
Underneath, this El Camino is excellent. At the time of
restoration, the rust free undercarriage was painted black. The
original Tan color interior is tidy with a recovered bench seat,
new carpet and door panels, and a nice original style steering
wheel. The dash and gauge cluster are original style and everything
works as it should. An aftermarket JLB bluetooth capable unit is
mounted neatly in the center of the dash. A $5000 8 speaker custom
stereo system has been installed and looks neat and tidy. The
custom stereo sounds great! This El Camino rides on 18" American
Racing Boulevard wheels. The wheels are 8 wide in the front and 9.5
in the rear. They are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Performance
tires. This El Camino starts and runs smoothly. It cruises great
even at highway speeds and has all the upgrades of a nice restomod
classic. A nicely restored, no excuses 1972 Chevrolet El Camino.
