A true icon of precision engineering and timeless design, this 2004
Acura NSX NSX-T Coupe represents one of the most celebrated
driver's cars ever produced. Finished in elegant Silverstone
Metallic over Silver Leather, this example is among just 23
similarly equipped NSX models built for the 2004 model year with
the highly sought-after 6-speed manual transmission, placing it
among the rarest and most collectible of the final NA2 production
cars.
Originally introduced in 1990, the NSX was a revolutionary
achievement for Acura, combining exotic supercar performance with
everyday usability and Honda's legendary reliability. Developed
with input from Formula One World Champion Ayrton Senna, the NSX
featured groundbreaking engineering including the world's first
mass-produced all-aluminum monocoque chassis, fully independent
suspension, and a mid-mounted V6 engine utilizing VTEC variable
valve timing. The result was a perfectly balanced, razor-sharp
driving machine that rivaled, and often surpassed, its European
contemporaries.
By 2004, the NSX had evolved into its final and most refined NA2
form, featuring fixed HID headlights, improved aerodynamics, and
enhanced chassis tuning. These later cars came comprehensively
equipped from the factory, offering amenities such as automatic
climate control, premium audio, power-adjustable leather seating,
and a removable targa roof panel, blending performance with grand
touring comfort.
This exceptional example has traveled just 32,950 carefully driven
miles and has spent its entire life in the dry,
preservation-friendly climates of Southern California and Arizona.
Its condition reflects this ideal provenance, exhibiting the level
of care expected from such an enthusiast-owned vehicle.
Enhancing both aesthetics and performance, the car has been
tastefully upgraded with wider Science of Speed forged alloy
wheels, measuring 17x7.5" in the front and 18x9" in the rear,
featuring a refined offset for a flush, modern stance that
complements the NSX's iconic silhouette. Inside, the factory audio
system has been upgraded to a Sony touchscreen interface with
Bluetooth and Apple CarPlay functionality, seamlessly integrated
into a custom carbon fiber console crafted by Euro Boutique of
Fremont, California. The original factory radio and trim components
are retained and included.
Performance has also been thoughtfully elevated with the addition
of a Science of Speed Sport 275 clutch and lightweight flywheel
assembly, installed in August 2023 at 31,758 miles. At that time,
the car received a comprehensive mechanical service including a new
timing belt and tensioner, water pump, accessory belt tensioner,
rear main crankshaft seal, oil pump gasket, valve cover gaskets,
fresh engine oil and filter, engine coolant, clutch fluid, and a
full four-wheel alignment. The air conditioning system was also
serviced to ensure optimal performance.
Further maintenance includes a complete brake fluid flush at 32,379
miles, along with a recent Mobil 1 oil and filter service at 32,839
miles, making this NSX fully sorted and ready for immediate
enjoyment.
Accompanying the vehicle are a brand-new California Car Cover,
three keys with two key fobs, the original factory radio, factory
center console trim, all books and owner's manuals, and the
original window sticker, further underscoring its collector-grade
pedigree.
Combining rarity, low mileage, exceptional provenance, and
carefully considered upgrades, this 2004 NSX-T Coupe stands as a
benchmark example of one of the most important Japanese performance
cars ever built. For the discerning enthusiast or collector, it
offers an unparalleled opportunity to acquire a truly analog
supercar experience; refined, reliable, and increasingly
coveted.
