The Ford Shoebox's undoubtedly captured the hot rodder's
imagination through the decades. The '49-51's have become favorites
in the traditional hot rod world.
1949-1951 the Ford nicknamed "Shoebox" was designed by George
Walker. The styling with integrated fenders, and wide chrome grille
made it an instant hit with customizers and hot rodders alike. This
stunning example is a complete frame-off restoration. The IFS
subframe is by Heidt's, all new updated suspension. Upper and lower
tubular "A" arms and front sway bar. Running a Y-block with a
tri-power setup. Keep cool while cruising with a performance
aluminum radiator. What a great rumble from the dual exhaust.
Matched to a C4 automatic transmission, and a Ford 9" rear. All new
12-volt system. The battery has been relocated to the trunk.
Driving is a dream with Rack and Pinion Power Steering. The '51
even has front disc brakes. The body has been done in a show
stopping two-tone white and yellow with all new chrome, stainless,
glass and weatherstripping. All stainless has been polished out to
a mirror finish...beautiful! Notice the custom build touches a 1950
Ford dash and rear taillights. Custom white interior featuring
bucket seats, and powered windows, and upgraded to electric wipers.
The clean dash has a full array of gauges temp, oil, battery, fuel,
and speedometer. What is more exciting than dropping the powered
top and cruising with friends.
The '51 is a show quality build you'll be proud to own.
