The C3 Stingray (or third generation) is one of the most iconic and
instantly recognizable body styles for the Corvette. With its
sharp, over-exaggerated body lines, powerful V8 engine, and
well-optioned interior, it's easy to see why these third generation
Corvettes are still so popular among enthusiasts and collectors
alike. This 1974 Chevrolet Corvette is a very nice example of these
iconic sports cars with just over 42,000 original miles. This
Corvette benefits from a recent repaint in its current Dark Brown
Metallic exterior paint that is reminiscent of its original Dark
Brown but with added flair. The Corvette's Dark Brown exterior is
in excellent condition throughout and is complimented nicely by its
factory Corvette emblems, factory stainless trim, and period
correct rally wheels wrapped in General Altimax raised white letter
tires (Dated 2015). This beautiful Corvette still retains its
factory original Saddle leather interior that is in very good
condition for the age. Powering this Corvette is its numbers
matching 350 cubic inch V8 that benefits from a recent rebuild.
During the rebuild, the 350 cubic inch V8 was nicely updated with a
roller cam, dual roller timing chain and bored .020" over. Backing
the numbers-matching 350 V8 is its numbers-matching 4-speed manual
transmission. Both the engine and transmission perform just as they
should and have no problem delivering the sporty driving experience
the Corvette is known for. This 1974 Corvette is nicely equipped
with options such as: power steering, power 4-wheel disc brakes,
tilt/telescopic steering, Custom Autosound AM/FM stereo, in-dsah
tachometer, variable speed wipers, and heater/defrost. If you are
in the market for a very nice and well maintained third generation
Corvette that is turn-key ready to enjoy and would present very
well at any local cruise-in or car show, then you will not want to
miss out on this gorgeous 1974 Chevrolet Corvette.
