Power seats?All of that is luxury propaganda, the Peasant-Spec Land Cruiser professes.This is probably one of our more unique Land Cruiser finds, a base-model FZJ80. Jokingly called the Peasant-Spec here at Car Cave, it's a perfect canvas for an off-road build or a dirt-simple daily driver. Anachronistic in a way, but with more modern driving characteristics over older generations of Land Cruiser, such as the 70-series. Think of the Lexus LX450 sold here in the US, but absolutely stripped down of luxury for us average peasants. And, even unique to a base FZJ80, this Middle-Eastern market version came factory with a carb - in 1997!That carb'd 1FZ is backed by a H151J five-speed manual. Underneath, the K295 axle code tells us this 80-series has the beefy 9.5-inch ring gear differential, with a rear limited slip.
