The hot rod is a unique American automobile - typically an older
model that has been extensively altered for speed, acceleration and
style. This modified roadster is a hot rod in the truest sense. The
street-legal pickup is based on the 1929 Ford and was
titled/registered in North Carolina in 2023 as a Custom
Roadster.
Hand-built Frame and Custom Body
The pickup utilizes a custom frame that is fitted with a fiberglass
body with a metal bed, fenders and running boards. Finished in
orange the paint is in good condition. A '29 Ford chrome radiator
is a perfect accent. The 15" Supreme mag wheels give it the right
stance. The bench seat is upholstered in gray cloth while the
interior features VDO classic gauges, an aluminum tilt column and a
unique one-off shifter.
383 Stroker Small-block/350 Turbo-Hydramatic
The 383cid Chevrolet stroked small block is fitted with a Weiand
Tunnel Ram aluminum intake and dual Holley 450cfm carbs. Power is
delivered through a GM 350 Turbo-Hydramatic transmission transfers
torque to a narrowed 9" Ford posi-traction differential with 3.73:1
gear. Other performance upgrades include double-hump GM heads, MSD
ignition, electric fuel pump and aluminum radiator with electric
fan. Exhaust is routed through stainless headers. The chassis is
equipped with a dropped front axle, chrome hairpin radius rods and
rack-and-pinion steering. The rear suspension is 4-link w/coil-over
shocks. The brakes are manual 4-wheel discs. This Roadster-Pickup
is a very nice piece that would be a great addition to your
garage.
