A 1966 Mercedes Benz 230SL Roadster. Two tops. 4 speed manual gearboxes. Silver grey metallic (Paint code 180G) with a burgundy interior. Was built December 1965.
132,000 miles.
A two owners’ car from new, we just acquired it from the second owner who had the car since 1973.
An all matching numbers car.
The paint looks shiny but is not a quality paint job.
The original floors are solid in the center but there are some rust holes by the jacking points and the driver’s side front frame rail.
The interior looks nice and shows well. Fitted with Becker radio!
Mechanically the car does not run. The original engine is out of the car, but comes with it. It was taken out for the purpose of a restoration which did not happen, I have been told it was running when they took it out. I saw some leaks.
Comes with the original factory books, factory data cards and the first owner information plate, as well as the 1973 dealer’s bill of sale.
A very good-looking car needing restoration.
Any questions welcome.
