Under the hood lies Alpina's enhanced 2.3-litre inline six-cylinder engine, equipped with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and producing 170 horsepower. The upgrades included modified combustion chambers, higher compression, and a revised camshaft, giving the car lively performance with a 0-100 km/h sprint of just 7.8 seconds. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a 5-speed Getrag manual transmission, while Alpina further sharpened handling with Bilstein suspension, uprated front brakes with dual ventilated discs, a revised differential, and subtle aerodynamic additions including a rear spoiler.
