This 1972 Ford F100 Custom 4x4 Pickup is a really cool and clean
truck that spent its life in Montana. The last owner bought this
truck for his granddaughter as a first truck and stuck about $5,000
in repairs and upgrades for her (have receipts). She decided she
didn't like driving a manual transmission so we purchased the truck
from him. He swears the miles are original and based on the
condition we believe it. The body is clean and straight. It appears
to have been repainted at some point many years ago in its original
color of Calypso Coral. The paint still shines nicely with some
minor patina. It is a really cool color. The original chrome and
trim are still nice. The underside is clean and we found no rust
issues with this truck.
The interior is also nice. The bench seat was recovered and looks
new along with a new dash cover. The dash bezel, headliner, sun
visors, door panels, and rubber floor mat are original and nice.
The headlights, taillights, brakelights, and turn signals are all
working. The gauges all work. The horn, heat, and windshield wipers
also work.
Mechanically this truck is excellent and it runs and drives great!!
The engine is believed to be the original 5.9L 360 V8 that runs
strong with no issues or red flags that we found. It has new custom
dual exhaust, fresh tune-up, rebuilt carb, new fuel pump, fuel
tanks flushed and cleaned, fresh fluid change all around. The
transmission is the np435 4 Speed Manual that shifts great with a
strong clutch. It is mated to the Dana 21 transfer case and the 4WD
works like it should. The rear axle is a Ford 9" with 3.50 gears
and a limited slip. The front axle is a Dana 44 with 3.50 gears. It
has a power front disc brakes: this is a new conversion with all
new brackets, calipers, rotors, pads, lines, and hoses. It has new
lockout hubs installed and new front wheel bearings. This is all
sitting on a cool set of vintage turbine style wheels with new 31
Inch Cooper Discoverer AT3 tires.
