1966 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster - Beautiful example of the iconic C2 convertible boasting it's complete numbers matching drivetrain, finished in an attractive color combo and showing only 73k actual miles! Factory equipped "L-79" option car with the proper HT-suffix 327ci/350hp Hi-Performance powerplant matched to the original Muncie close-ratio M-21 4-speed manual transmission and "AS-code" 3.70 rear end. Engine still retains the correct Winters intake, Holley 4bbl carb, 2.02 fuelie heads, exhaust manifolds, etc. and all original castings, codes and partial VIN's are clearly legible. Wonderful restoration in the factory correct shade of "Silver Pearl Metallic" with a black vinyl top. What appears to be a no-hit body with all factory bonding strips still in-tact and great lines/gaps from front to back. Paint shows brilliantly with only a couple of common minor imperfections on the decklid where the top does rest when latched down. All the trim shows great and the chrome bumpers have plenty of luster but front driver's side does have a scratch which can been seen in pics. Flip-up headlights operate quick and smooth, convertible top folds up and down with ease and both windows roll nicely as they should. A matching hardtop is not included with sale but we do have one that could be painted to go with it, at an extra charge. Car really looks the part on the stock 15" steel wheels with correct hubcaps and flashy redline radial tires but a set of re-production knockoff wheels are also available per customer's preference. Interior contrasts appropriately in the trim-tag correct black vinyl tones throughout with alot of original pieces still in-tact. Nicely appointed with the correct 6,200 redline tach, AM/FM radio, power antenna and simulated wood steering wheel. All lights and gauges work as well as the radio and heater but clock does not. Engine bay is thoroughly detailed with all correct shielding still in place and proper GM components. Underside is also clean and free of any current rust or rot issues. The mid-year market has always been on fire and a popular choice of corvette collectors or muscle car enthusiasts around the world. These high revving, snappy small block L-79's are truly the cream-of-the-crop and a fun piece of early GM Performance history. An absolute blast to drive and a real head turner.
