Our customer wanted something distinctive to drive and show. After
driving several factory muscle cars, he wanted to be different. His
idea was to retain the old car look, but wanted to incorporate it
with today's technology.
Dear Peter Klutt,
"I went to Legendary due to your reputation and quality paint work.
I chose a Charger because it was rare as far as seeing them around
at shows etc. The car definitely has a unique shape and is at the
top of the list as one of the best lookers of all time. Legendary's
knowledge of choices, made it easy to get excited and do the
project. I wanted a bullet proof set up that anybody could work
with. We went with a 440 block stroked to 501 with a full roller
valve train. No hemi needed here on this resto-modification! The
440 is a legend in its own right and the engine builder was veteran
when it comes to building a bullet proof 550hp and 580 torque
monster. This is a street car and most of the torque is available
at 3000 RPM. With a torqueflight transmission, Ford 9 inch
rear-axle with 4.10 gears, the car will do rock solid burnouts and
won't hurt any components. Also because of the automatic overdrive
system, the 4.10 rear will drop to the equivalent of a 3.23 on the
highway!"
"The car was delivered today in perfect condition. I want to thank
you and your entire team of professionals. The car is awesome and
exceeded my expectations."
Regards,
Joe S.
