LMC is very proud to offer for sale this1965 Buick Riviera GS
Built by Detroit Speed & Engineering, one of the most respected
names in high-end Pro-Touring and custom fabrication, this 1965
Buick Riviera GranSport showcases the company's renowned attention
to detail, engineering precision, and world-class craftsmanship.
Every element of this build reflects Detroit Speed's commitment to
producing performance cars that drive as flawlessly as they
present. Finished in Rosso Mugello Red, the Riviera retains its
signature styling cues while incorporating modernized proportions,
hand-fabricated bumpers, billet one-off components, and refined
body lines that elevate its timeless design.
Power comes from a Mast Motorsports Black Label LSX producing
approximately 730 horsepower, dressed to resemble Buick's legendary
Nailhead V8. The driveline is paired to a 6-speed automatic
transmission that can be paddle shifted. Suspension is what Detroit
Speed is known for, and they utilized a custom hydroformed front
subframe, three-link Swivel-Link rear suspension, and JRi
hydraulically adjustable coilovers, delivering exceptional handling
and ride comfort. Braking is provided by carbon-ceramic rotors with
Brembo calipers and Bosch ABS, all housed behind 19/20inch
Forgeline wheels wrapped in Michelin performance tires.
Inside, a custom brown leather interior accented with bloodwood
veneers, Classic Instruments gauges, and paddle shifters blends
classic Buick elegance with contemporary refinement. Every
control-from the reimagined factory sliders to the handcrafted
dash-was designed for both form and function.
The cost to duplicate this build today would be well north of $1
million, underscoring the level of design, fabrication, and
engineering invested by Detroit Speed. A one-off, show-level
Riviera that performs like a modern grand tourer while honoring
Buick's design heritage.Built by one of the industry's finest,
featured by Hemmings and Modern Rodding, and presented in absolute
concours-level condition. A true, must been to appreciate. Rarely
do cars of this build quality and level ever come to the public
market.
