The Chevy El Camino was a combination coupe and utility vehicle
that was produced over five generations between 1959 and 1987. The
El Camino was an adaptation of a standard two-door Chevrolet
platform that integrated the cab and cargo bed into the body. The
5th generation El Camino took styling cues from the mid-sized
Malibu. Elements such as front-end sheet metal, doors and bumpers
were all Malibu tooling, as was much of the interior design.
However, the Gen 5 El Camino did have a unique chassis that was
shared with no other Chevrolet.
Striking Two-Tone Finish with Boss Wheels-
This partially restored 1986 El Camino Conquista is a stylish
example of the 5th generation model. The Silver and Gray Metallic
exterior is in very good condition, and accents include nice
chrome, dual sport mirrors, subtle front air dam, chrome bed rails
and 18" Boss chrome spoke wheels. Inside, the classic gray cloth
interior is also in good condition. The Conquista model is equipped
with bucket seats, center console with shifter, air conditioning,
power tinted windows and tilt wheel. Other features include cruise
control, power locks, full set of factory analog gauges and an
AM/FM/Cassette sound system.
305ci Small-Block with 4-speed Turbo Hydramatic-
Horsepower is furnished by a 305ci small block. It appears to have
been very well maintained. The small-block is backed by a GM
4-speed Turbo Hydramatic transmission and 10-bolt differential with
stock gears. The chassis is fitted with power steering,
power-assisted front disc and rear drum brakes, newer cat-back
exhaust system and coil spring suspension with a front sway bar.
This sharp Chevy El Camino will be a great fit in your GM
garage.
