Kenny Brown did not arrive at building performance Mustangs by
accident. He spent years engineering and managing the Saleen
Mustang race program, building cars that went out and beat Porsche
and Corvette in professional endurance racing when nobody thought
that was possible. When he walked away from that program, buyers
started showing up at his door wanting him to do the same thing to
their street cars. The GT-4T is the result of decades of that work
applied to a 2007 Mustang GT convertible, and this one is finished
in Grabber Orange, a color so right for this car that Brown
nicknamed it Mango Tango.
Under the hood is a 5.0 liter Coyote V8 paired to a five speed
automatic built by Level 10 Transmissions, one of the most
respected automatic transmission builders in the performance world.
The Flowmaster exhaust lets it breathe and sound the part, and an
upgraded cooling system keeps everything running at temperature
under hard use. This is a car built to perform, not just to look
like it performs.
The chassis underneath tells the real story. Fully adjustable
coilovers, tubular adjustable control arms front and rear, and a
panhard bar give this car a suspension geometry that most street
Mustangs will never come close to. Baer Pro Plus six piston brakes
up front back up everything the drivetrain can deliver. A four
point roll bar, Sparco bucket seats, louvered hood, and bumper
venting round out a car that means business from every angle.
Forgeline 19 inch wheels and a power convertible black top finish
the exterior with the same level of intention the rest of the car
was built with.
Kenny Brown built his GT4 Series Mustangs around what he calls the
five secrets of a great car: chassis, suspension, wheels, tires,
and brakes, in that order, before ever touching the engine. That
philosophy is exactly what separates a Kenny Brown car from a
parts-catalog build, and it is exactly what you feel the moment you
pull onto an on-ramp. These are serialized, documented builds from
one of the most credentialed Mustang builders alive, and clean
examples in a color like this do not come up very often.
