-The very nice Austin Healey 3000 BJ8 in handsome colors was recently purchased from only it's second owner from January, 1971. Mr. Crew purchased the car with a mere 16,000 miles on it and was it's custodian for the following 55 years ! He drove it daily for the first 4 years of ownership. The car was then treated to a heated/dry garage and was driven sparingly about 300-400 miles per year thereafter.
-We purchased this vehicle recently and were pleasantly surprised at it's very well kept and original condition showing 75,570 two owner miles. It presents very well and runs and drives beautifully, with fantastic exhaust notes through the freeflow Ansa system.
-Further improvements have been made by us in regards to paintwork and chrome detailing, a thorough mechanical service, fitment of (4) 72-spoke chrome wire wheels with Vredestein tires, some interior corrections, and a full cosmetic detailing.
-Super good glossy paintwork. Very good to excellent original brightwork. Original Triplex windshield. Lovely exterior condition throughout.
-The same theme carries through to the car's Ambla vinyl interior trim, which is 100% extremely original, save for recovered front seats in correct OEM kits and the carpet set. Also featured is a period rare alloy/wood Les Leston sport steering wheel and original "Le Chaperon" radio unit.
-The engine compartment has received a light detailing. Mechanically the car is excellent and runs/drives extremely strong with no issues, overdrive working. PLEASE SEE DRIVING VIDEO. The car's underside has received a cleaning and detailing and presents/looks lovely and original.
