1959 Ford Thunderbird Convertible - Same Owner for 41 Years
This beautiful 1959 Ford Thunderbird Convertible has been owned by
the same enthusiast for the past 41 years and was originally an
Arizona car. The bodywork and paint were completed in the 1990s,
finished in a stunning custom blue pearl paint that changes color
depending on the light, shifting from blue to purple to black.
The engine was refreshed in the 1990s with new seals, the cylinder
heads were milled, and a mild performance camshaft was installed,
giving this Thunderbird a little extra power while maintaining
excellent drivability. It's truly a sleeper that surprises those
who underestimate it.
The car rides on custom wheels wrapped in newer tires and has
always been carefully maintained. It has never been driven in
winter conditions and was not taken out in the spring until after
heavy rains had washed any road salt away.
The convertible top will need a new plastic rear window, although
the top was typically kept down during the summer months.
Included with the sale are numerous extra parts, including the
original wheels and hubcaps, extra taillights, and a large
collection of new old stock (NOS) interior and exterior parts.
A unique and well-cared-for Thunderbird with long-term ownership,
custom touches, and a substantial collection of extra parts. A
great cruiser that is ready to be enjoyed and shown.
