2012 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 For SaleThis 2012 Ford Mustang
Shelby GT500 is a 19,000-mile, two-owner example with the bulk of
its service history performed at the selling dealership. Finished
in Ingot Silver Metallic with LeMans-style black top stripes and
GT500 rocker stripes, it represents the final model year of the
5.4L aluminum-block supercharged V8.Under the aluminum hood with
its functional air extractor sits the SVT-built 5.4L Modular
supercharged V8, factory-rated at 550 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of
torque. Power is routed through a Tremec TR-6060 six-speed manual
transmission to a 3.55-geared limited-slip rear end, and the car
breathes through a tuned stainless steel exhaust. The 2011-2012
aluminum-block 5.4L is the lighter, more refined evolution of the
earlier iron-block GT500 powertrain, and the combination of
supercharged V8, manual gearbox, and shorter 3.55 final drive gives
this car a strong off-the-line character. The chassis carries the
SVT-tuned suspension and Brembo front brakes, with the
GT500-specific aluminum hood and dual-stripe treatment finishing
the exterior. Inside, the black interior is fitted with the factory
bucket seats featuring racing-stripe inserts and the Shaker 500
audio system. A custom trunk-mounted enclosure housing two
subwoofers has been added to the system the only meaningful
departure from factory specification on the car.The 2012 GT500 sits
at an interesting point in the S197 timeline. It carries the same
aluminum-block 5.4L introduced for 2011 the engine that made the
GT500 noticeably lighter on the nose than its predecessors but
without the price and rarity premium attached to the 662-horsepower
5.8L cars that followed. Paired with low miles, two-owner history,
and a service file concentrated at the selling dealership, this
example reads as a well-kept driver-grade GT500 rather than a
hoarded museum piece.NFI Empire specializes in classic, exotic,
