1948 Ford Anglia - a rare and highly customized classic with a
unique history and standout show-car presence. Originally built in
Australia as a taxi cab, this Anglia later came to the U.S. and was
converted in the mid-1970s into a drag racing car known as the
"Looney Tune Taxi." It still features its original wild
hand-painted Looney Tunes-themed graphics, which continue to show
remarkably well for their age and make the car a true one-of-a-kind
attraction. Powered by a Ford V6 engine paired with a C6 automatic
transmission, it has been upgraded for performance and drivability.
The chassis includes an Opel GT front suspension setup and a Jaguar
quick-change rear end, giving it a unique blend of components and
capability. Reported as extremely rare, with very limited known
examples in the U.S., this Anglia is a consistent show and
cruise-in attention-getter thanks to its history, styling, and
custom build. A highly unusual, hand-painted drag-inspired classic
that blends motorsport history with pop-culture artistry and custom
engineering. Important Information - Please Read Before Inquiring
