1968 Chevrolet Fleetside. This truck is a frame off Restomod with high attention to detail. Everything on the vehicle is restored or new with nothing left to do. Starting under the hood lies a warmed up 350, 40 over with 10:1 pistons, high performance cam, aluminum heads, Edelbrock intake and 750 carb. Headers and a custom dual exhaust exits behind the rear wheels. A 700 R4 transmission, shift kit with lockup and converter has been added.The truck has been lowered with 255/50 and 275/50 Falken tires and 17 inch Cragar SS wheels to complete the stance. A cowl induction hood, under frame stainless gas tank and white oak bed has been installed along with power steering, brakes and a front sway bar. The plum foolish paint is show quality with lots of gloss and a mild metalflake. Paint has been continued to the engine bay, inner fenders and inner box. The interior of the cab is new with gray leather buckets, matching leather door panels and a leather and chrome headliner. Sound deadening insulation and a matching gray carpet are installed. A sliding rear window, new gauge cluster, centre console and B&M shifter were added along with a chrome tilt steering column and banjo steering wheel. A Retrosound Chev radio, hidden 12 CD player, Focal amplifier,subwoofer, and speaker complete the sound system. A frenched power antenna is in the bed rail on the drivers side and an ignition kill switch is hidden. Original Assembly, Shop and Service manuals are included along with custom full body storage cover.
When first shown this Restomod received the Classic Trucks Outstanding Truck Award (1949 -1972) and an Outsanding in Class award at the World of Wheels sow in Winnipeg.
