INTRODUCTION: Only 24 miles on a total nut and bolt, show quality
restoration. #s matching and documented with original build sheet
and fender tag. Copy of 1972-1974 title and 1974-2026 title (1
owner 48 years)!
EXTERIOR: Better than new! I can confidently say that because the
paint simply did not look this good when it rolled out of the
factory in 1970. Photos of the restoration shows just how clean the
body really is. It is absolutely pristine with a laser straight
finish and precision aligned gaps throughout. The aggressive R/T
styling really stands out with the performance side scoops, bold
bumblebee stripe, and the ever cool hideaway headlights up front.
It has been repainted its original Burnt Orange Metallic, now
topped with a clear coat polished to a finish that looks like wet
ice. The jambs are just as slick as the exterior, and all the
weatherstrips have been replaced. Every piece of chrome and trim
has either been restored or replaced. The vinyl top was replaced
with excellent precision, all the glass is new with the correct
Mopar logos, and it sits perfectly on new 15-inch Rallye wheels
that are wider in back for an aggressive stance, wrapped in
BFGoodrich tires.
INTERIOR: Sitting inside this Charger feels like stepping back into
a brand new 1970 Charger R/T. The seats have been recushioned,
giving them that firm new car feel, while all new upholstery has
been installed. The door panels, armrests, and interior trim are
all fresh. The interior chrome sparkles including the handles,
window cranks, vent window knobs, dash knobs and bezels. The dash
area is equally impressive. The dash pad looks new, the instrument
cluster is crisp and fresh, and it features the desirable Rally
gauge package complete with tachometer, a working clock and just 26
miles on the odometer. It's also equipped with the optional lamp
group and even the factory key buzzer works. Down on the floor, it
has fresh carpet, a beautifully restored center console, and a
complete set of seat belts. Overhead is a fresh, tight fitting
headliner with new visors and mirror. The deluxe steering wheel has
been restored as well, completing the crisp, factory fresh look and
feel inside.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: This is a highly detailed, show quality engine
compartment! Actually, it goes beyond that- sitting proudly in the
center is the original VIN # matching 440 Magnum engine, completely
rebuilt and restored to factory specifications. The motor is
dressed correctly throughout, including the stock valve covers,
exhaust manifolds, ignition system, and proper components. On top
it has been upgraded with a factory correct Six-Pack carb setup
that really comes alive when you tromp on the gas pedal. It's also
equipped with power steering and power brakes, making this Charger
as enjoyable to drive as it is to admire. The cooling system is
factory correct right down to the proper hoses, clamps, fan shroud,
and Chrysler radiator. The windshield squirters are hooked up, the
battery is properly secured, and all the wiring is routed neatly
and correctly. The engine bay itself is painted in the same
beautiful glossy finish as the exterior. Even the original fender
tag remains in place, along with the hidden VIN stamp on the core
support, further validating this Charger's authenticity.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The same incredible attention to detail
continues right into the trunk. The underside of the trunk lid,
jambs, and interior metal are all finished in the same smooth,
glossy body color as the exterior. It's all finished off with a new
weatherstrip, fresh trunk mat, and a complete jack and spare
assembly that has been properly restored.
UNDERSIDE: This is nothing short of exceptional! Every single
component was removed from the bottom of the car during the
restoration. The floors are absolutely pristine original metal,
finished in smooth, glossy body color paint. It has that highly
detailed, show quality appearance from front to back. Every
component was rebuilt, restored, or replaced. It features the heavy
duty Hemi suspension, completely rebuilt and detailed to factory
standards. The entire brake system has been replaced and upgraded
with front disc brakes. All the lines, hoses, and the e-brake
assembly were replaced. The fuel system was also completely
replaced, including the tank and fuel lines. The exhaust system
appears to have a coated finish and looks fatter than stock,
featuring clean welded seams and the correct rectangular tips
exiting out the back. Looking up at the drivetrain, everything is
spotless, the cast codes, date and matching VIN are clearly
visible. The correct 727 TorqueFlite automatic transmission is
detailed beautifully behind the motor, while the restored
driveshaft leads back to the 8 rear end equipped with 3.23 Sure
Grip gears. Even the rear housing is finished in high gloss paint
with factory assembly markings correctly reapplied. Overall, this
undercarriage is incredibly fresh, highly detailed, and truly sets
the bar extremely high.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and our reputation. Every
vehicle goes through our service department where it is inspected,
test driven, and we address the essentials before offering it for
sale.
CONCLUSION: This Charger is absolutely pristine! Go look at a
thousand cars and this one will rank among the top percentage
without question. It would cost every bit off $200,000 to match
this restoration at a professional shop. With its numbers matching
drivetrain and documentation, this isn't just an incredible muscle
car, it's a blue chip investment grade collector piece!
