1967 Ford Mustang Fastback Custom — an original C-Code fastback transformed into a fully restored, show-quality custom. The body was completely sandblasted, coated, and mounted on a rotisserie to begin the build. A full molded fiberglass body kit was integrated into the original shell by a Ford-certified collision center, including a new hood, trunk, rockers, functional upper and lower quarter vents, and four fender flares. All glass has been replaced for a crisp, fresh appearance. The car is finished in BASF Glasurit 90 Line “Lead Foot,” an original Ford color, and features a full LED lighting system.
Power comes from a low-mileage 5.0L Coyote engine sourced from a 2016 Mustang GT, mated to its original 6-speed manual transmission — a rare and desirable pairing. The donor car’s instrument cluster and electronics were transferred, giving the interior a modern, factory-integrated feel. To support the Coyote drivetrain, a full subframe was welded to the unibody by certified Ford technicians. Original strut towers were removed to accommodate the motor and a full independent front suspension with Q1A coilovers was installed for precise handling. The rear uses a Mustang Watt-link setup with an original 9” semi-floater differential and 3.5:1 gears, complemented by Q1A struts and coilovers — all powder-coated black.
Stopping power is provided by Wilwood brakes: 6-piston front calipers and 4-piston rears, finished in red. The interior was professionally reupholstered in leather and suede for a modern, refined look. A JL Audio system with six speakers and dual 12” subwoofers handles sound. Rolling on staggered 18” Shelby-style Vintage Wheels, powder-coated black, and shod with Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires for excellent grip. Every nut and bolt on the car is new.
