Description:
This 1965 Pontiac GTO hardtop coupe was given to the current owner
by their uncle, and it is powered by a 389ci V8 with Tri-Power
induction. The body has been repainted in red, and the cabin is
outfitted with black vinyl upholstery, a center console, and
aftermarket gauges. It is further equipped with a four-speed manual
transmission, a Safe-T-Track differential, simulated hood scoop,
Flowmaster mufflers, chrome valve covers, 14? Rally wheels, power
steering, and power drum brakes.
Interior:
The front bucket and rear bench seats are upholstered in black
vinyl, and they are joined by channeled door panels and GTO-logo
carpeted floor mats. A floor shifter resides in the center console.
The steering wheel sits on a tilting column and has a cracked rim.
Factory-style instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer and a
fuel-level gauge, while aftermarket readouts for oil pressure,
voltage, and coolant temperature are installed under the
dashboard.
Exterior:
The car was repainted in red some time ago, and exterior details
include stacked headlights, a simulated hood scoop, quarter vent
windows, and chrome bumpers, wheel arch moldings, and trim. The 14?
Rally wheels wear chrome trim rings and are mounted with Cooper
Cobra Radial GT tires. Braking is provided by drums at each corner,
and the car is equipped with power steering.
Drivetrain:
The 389ci V8 has been fitted with a Tri-Power induction setup with
triple Rochester two-barrel carburetors. Power is routed to the
rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a
Safe-T-Track differential.
