For consignment, a 2006 Porsche 911 Carrera S cabriolet with a
title verified 25,708 actual miles. This star of Stuttgart retains
its youthful and athletic appearance, a healthy 20 year old that's
been pampered and garage kept by our consignor. We note that the
Carfax shows a minor damage incident and the IMS bearing has not
been replaced in this example.
Exterior
Specs amongst 911 owners are a big deal and some would argue that
the choice here is one of the best, beginning with spectacular
Midnight Blue Metallic, a deeply rich hue that is complemented by
the Metapol Blue canvas top and 19-inchmulti spoke wheels in argent
gray. Center caps display the coveted crest which of course, is
planted firmly on the aerodynamic nose of this 911 between
headlights that bow to the wind and hover over clear lensed and
flush marker lights that present like Swarovski crystal. But it
might be the rear that steals the spotlight with flush tail lights
hugging the wide body, the louvered tail in its poised position,
and the quad exhaust tips with slightly offset sizes that all make
for a fantastic profile. Imperfections include various minor chips,
a couple of light stains on the canvas and some exposed foam
insulation, a ding on the driver's fender, a scrape on the plastic
front apron and adjoining wheel opening, scuff and bubble on the
rear valance, scratches on the rocker panel, and some typical chin
scrapes.
Interior
The dark exterior is contrasted by the Saddle interior that begins
on the well designed and attractive door panels that combine
plastic, leather, and a carpeted insert with the contoured nickel
door handle and black switchgear and both present cleanly.
Porsche's distinctive buckets seats are up front, tall and supple
and showing some light usage while the kid's seats in back and
adherent seat belts look untouched. Nickel, gray and saddle cover
the 3 spoke steering wheel and dashboard with artful aplomb and
Porsche's five gauge configuration, here with white faces, should
be on everyone's bucket list. Even the clock that's perched on the
dashboard is excellent, followed by a center stack with a 5.8"
screen and AM/FM/CD radio and lots of buttons. In the center
console resides the perfectly formed shifter in a leather boot over
tan carpet and plush mats, all clean and ready for its next
steward. The front trunk also presents cleanly.
Drivetrain
In back, you'll find a clean bay housing the 3.8 liter flat 6
cylinder engine, water cooled and fuel injected and putting out 355
horsepower. It's mated to a 6 speed manual transaxle keeping power
to the back wheels through 3.44 gears.
Undercarriage
Most of the underside is reserved for aerodynamic belly pans which
are clean and engine components and exhaust show some typical time
oxidation and otherwise unmarred. The dual exhaust runs through
original equipment mufflers and power disc brakes are supplied to
all four wheels. Suspension entails Macpherson struts up front and
multilink with coil springs in back.
Drive-Ability
There is no substitute and that becomes eminently clear after about
five minutes behind the wheel. Great ergonomics and the roar of
that mighty flat six behind you is worth the price of admission and
this low mileage Porsche delivers on all counts. All functions
afforded driver and passenger operate as they should on this
buttoned up blue wonder. While Classic Auto Mall represents that

Remember Porsche designed Carrera sunglasses from the 80's? While
they may have gone out of style a long time ago, a 911 of any
vintage will forever be in vogue. In fact, the older they get, the

every way.
