"The 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle received a slight facelift compared to
the '66 Chevelle, including less angular headlight surrounds and a
larger bumper cutout beneath the grille. The Chevelle continued to
be offered in three trims - 300, 300 Deluxe and Malibu. The 300 and
300 Deluxe were offered as a two door sedan, four door sedan and
four door wagon. The Malibu offered plenty of different body
styles, including two door wagon, four door sedan, sport coupe,
convertible, and four door sport sedan." Hagerty.com
For consignment, a 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle 300 2 door sedan showing
2,875 miles, but the true miles are unknown due to a title
exemption. Buckle up, this red rider is in impeccable condition and
is ready to grace the garage of its next owner. It was fully
restored between 2012 and 2017.
Exterior
The super straight body is awash in gleaming two stage Bolero Red
paint in a monochromatic coverage that would have fire engines
pulling right. A simple grille and dual headlight configuration cap
the front with polished metals while the rear is finished by what
our consignor notes are the original tail lights with V-shaped
lenses that wrap around the edge for dual purpose. 15-inch Kelsey
Hayes steel wheels are painted to match, augmented even more by the
standard hubcaps and red line tires that possess a date code of
late 2023. The laser straight rear bumper hugs the body and gives
way to two large chrome tips that turn downward. Imperfections are
few and include a scratch on the rear deck filler panel and some
waviness there as well, deglazing on the rear window, a few chips
on the rocker panel, and an open drilled hole on the pinch
weld.
Interior
Black vinyl door panels with decorative hash mark trim present
cleanly and we have a feeling this is only the start to the tour of
Clean Town! The original '67 split bench has been restored and
presents as new and the rear bench follows suit, albeit in a
slightly different stitch pattern. We're told the original steering
wheel has also been restored and it looks great, front a dash that
could have come off the assembly line yesterday, while a tachometer
and triple gauge pod have been added for extra monitoring of engine
performance. The floor is home to a B&M shifter over black
looped carpet and Chevelle branded mats, the headliner is high and
tight, and the trunk is so clean, the only thing we're putting
there is our attention!
Drivetrain
The show quality continues under the hood where you'll find a 502ci
V8 rated at 460+ horsepower, and receiving fuel through a Holley
Sniper EFI system. Behind it, the 700R4 4-speed automatic
transmission has a Yank 3200rpm converter and sends power to the 10
bolt rear axle with 3.73 gears.
Undercarriage
The fantastically upgraded and detailed underside is in keeping
with the car's show worthiness, where red sway bars and a 4 link
accompany yellow Bilstein shocks, coil springs, a red painted UMI
tubular suspension, all on a background of semi gloss black paint.
Wilwood 4 piston power disc brakes occupy all four wheels and dual
exhaust feed off of headers and run through stock style mufflers
before exiting out back. Invest in some long ground mirrors so
people can see this at shows!
Drive-Ability
We'll cut to the chase, it runs as good as it looks. Its obvious
attention to detail extends to the operation of the car and we have
zero complaints. The reverse lights are not illuminating but all
other functions on this rolling showpiece work as they should.
While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were
working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these
functions will be working at the time of your purchase.
We don't make predictions at the mall, but if this one last more
than a month, we'd all be a little bit surprised. You could not
restore or build a car for the price and this is a turnkey winner.
Life's a gamble, but putting your chips on red is a sure bet in
this case!
