For Sale: 1970 Chevrolet Camaro in Seekonk, Massachusetts

Vehicle Description

Known as “Bloodshot,” this incredible 1970 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Custom was restored to an extremely high show-quality standard and is regarded as one of the finest second-generation Camaros in existence. Originally built at the Norwood, Ohio plant during the third week of January 1970, the car was factory born as a Z28 finished in Citrus Green Metallic with black stripes and a green vinyl interior. It was originally owned by Tommy “Dobber” Whitaker of Galax, Virginia, who kept the car until his passing. In 2013, longtime friend Randy Wilson purchased the car from Tommy’s widow with just 28,000 original miles. Randy and his wife Kathy envisioned building a modern interpretation of a classic Z28 while preserving its iconic styling. Their six-year, no-expense-spared rotisserie restoration was completed in 2020 and immediately earned major awards, magazine features, and calendar appearances. The original cowl tag, awards, magazines, and calendar are included. MS CLASSIC CARS acquired the vehicle directly from Randy and Kathy Wilson in April 2026, marking the first time the car has been publicly offered for sale since completion.

The laser-straight body retains its original sheet metal with the exception of a Goodmark cowl hood added for aesthetics. Terry’s Body Shop in Virginia refinished the car in stunning PPG Viper Red with black racing stripes. Exterior upgrades include custom black billet grilles by Dan Baker, Rally Sport-style split bumpers, Rigid LED headlights, LED tail lights, Anvil billet door handles, and fresh chrome work by Advanced Plating. The aggressive stance is achieved with Billet Specialties Turbine wheels wrapped in Diamond Back Redline tires, measuring 18x8 front and 20x12 rear. Detroit Mini Tubs were installed to accommodate the massive rear rubber.

The interior was completely redesigned with a modern performance theme while maintaining classic Camaro styling cues. The cabin was insulated with Second Skin sound deadening and rewired using an American Autowire harness. Steven Everhart of Trimmer’s Trim Shop upholstered the custom bucket seats, door panels, console, and headliner in black leather with red stitching and diamond patterns. Additional highlights include Daytona carpeting, carbon fiber trim, AutoMeter Pro Comp Ultra-Lite gauges, an Ididit tilt column, Sparc steering wheel, Ring Brothers billet shifter, JBL stereo system, and a fully upholstered trunk compartment.

Under the hood sits a highly detailed 383ci GM Performance Gen IV V8 built by Foley Engines and rated at 525 horsepower. Performance upgrades include forged internals, Comp Cams valvetrain components, GM Fast Burn aluminum heads, FiTech Ultra Ram induction controlled by a Holley Terminator system, MSD ignition, Concept One pulley system, and a BeCool aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. The engine breathes through Sanderson ceramic-coated headers and a Karnage Performance stainless exhaust system. Power is transferred through a Tremec TKO-600 5-speed transmission with carbon fiber sliders and a RAM twin-disc hydraulic clutch to a custom 9-inch rear end with Moser axles and 3.70 gears.

The undercarriage is equally impressive and finished to show quality standards. It features a Heidts Pro-G front subframe with QA1 adjustable coilovers, power rack-and-pinion steering, Art Morrison subframe connectors, a custom 4-bar rear suspension, Strange adjustable shocks, Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes, and a Rick’s Tanks stainless fuel tank. Every aspect of this Camaro was carefully engineered and executed, making “Bloodshot” a true pro-touring masterpiece that blends iconic muscle car styling with modern performance and craftsmanship.
