Vehicle Description

1951 Chevrolet 3100 Restomod Pickup
Frame-off/Nut Bolt Restoration

1951 Chevrolet 3100 half-ton pickup finished in eye-catching medium blue over a beautifully tailored custom gray interior. According to the serial number, this truck was assembled at GM’s Kansas City plant and began life as a Chevrolet 3100 pickup before being transformed through an extensive frame-off, nut-and-bolt custom restoration by an experienced builder. Showing just under 200 miles since completion, the truck presents as an exceptionally fresh and highly detailed California restomod that blends classic Advance Design styling with modern comfort, performance, and drivability. The truck appears fully sorted and ready to enjoy, with excellent workmanship and attention to detail visible throughout.

The exterior was refinished in a vivid medium blue paint that shows exceptionally well with deep gloss and very straight body panels. The body appears to have been carefully aligned and smoothed during restoration, giving the truck a clean, refined appearance without losing its original character. Exterior upgrades include a custom smoothed tailgate, polished chrome bumpers and grille, custom running boards, LED tail lighting, polished five-spoke Cragar wheels, and a beautifully finished wood bed floor with polished bed strips and flush-mounted fuel filler doors. The truck sits with an aggressive lowered stance that complements the overall build extremely well. The wheel and tire package consists of polished 17-inch Cragar wheels wrapped in Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza radial tires, including 255/60R17 rears. Four-wheel drilled disc brakes with red Wilwood calipers are visible behind the wheels, giving the truck both excellent visual presence and improved stopping performance. DOT date codes indicate the tires were manufactured in 2015 and appear to have very low wear.

Inside, the cab has been fully customized in gray upholstery with blue accent inserts carried through the seats and door panels. The interior presents extremely clean and cohesive with modern amenities carefully integrated into the classic cab design. The painted body-color dashboard houses a custom gauge cluster with digital odometer, billet steering wheel, polished tilt steering column, billet pedals, and custom center console. Additional upgrades include Vintage Air climate control, power windows, modern Bluetooth/SiriusXM-capable Sony audio system, custom carpeting, integrated cupholder, custom switchgear, and a Lokar-style floor shifter. The overall execution has a very high-end street rod feel while remaining comfortable and functional for regular driving.

Power comes from a highly detailed Chevrolet small block V8 fitted with aluminum valve covers, polished intake manifold, Edelbrock carburetor and air cleaner assembly, MSD Digital 6A ignition system, braided stainless fuel and cooling lines, ceramic-coated headers, aluminum radiator, and electric cooling fan. The engine compartment was extensively smoothed and detailed during the build, with painted inner fenders and firewall creating a very clean show-quality presentation. The engine is backed by a TH350 automatic transmission featuring a finned aluminum transmission pan and upgraded driveline components. Throughout the engine compartment, the plumbing, wiring, and accessory layout reflect careful professional assembly and strong attention to detail.

The underside is equally impressive and further supports the quality of the restoration. The chassis and suspension components have been fully refinished and detailed throughout. The truck features an upgraded independent front suspension with rack-and-pinion steering, tubular front suspension components, front coilovers, and a four-link rear suspension with adjustable rear coilovers. Additional upgrades include four-wheel disc brakes with drilled rotors and braided lines, dual exhaust system, upgraded fuel system with electric fuel pump, custom crossmembers, detailed rear differential housing, and professionally routed wiring and plumbing throughout the chassis. Overall, this truck presents as a very well-built and carefully engineered custom that offers modern road manners, reliable drivability, and show-level presentation underneath as well as on top.
