Cruisin Classics is pleased to present this 1968 Chevrolet C-10
step-side truck. This "golden era" C-10 comes to us today with a
very cool patina look, an awesome stance, and some nice surprises
under the hood. The body of the truck is painted Teal (dark
blue-green) with patina on all panels. Up front, it features a
white grille surround (also patina'd), round headlights in square
bezels, and a nice chrome bumper. Moving around to the side you'll
find Chevy "bowtie" and "10" fender-badging, aftermarket side
mirrors (placed forward of the original position (old mounting
holes still present), bright door handles, and chrome window rain
deflectors. The original gas cap behind the drivers door is still
there, but a new fuel tank has been installed in the rear with a
pop-up fill cap in the bed floor. The bed floor consists of wood
planks with black painted divider bars. The tailgate features
"CHEVROLET lettering and hook & chain closures. There's also a
newer chrome bumper in the rear that matches the one up front. This
C-10 sits atop a set of 20" 5-spoke Billet Specialties wheels all
wrapped in Achilles Desert Hawk UHP tires. The stance of this truck
is completely up to your mood, as it is equipped with a Street
Machinery airbag suspension system with a Viair tank that adjusts
quickly and easily. Take a quick peek underneath and find rear
lowering blocks, newer rear shocks and airbags, independent front
suspension, and a newer dual exhaust that exits just before the
rear axle.
Under the hood is a clean organized engine bay that's home to a
350ci GM V-8 that's dressed with a fresh coat of orange paint. The
orange theme carries through with the heads, intake, water pump,
and "Chevrolet" labeled valve covers. It's topped off with as
Holley 4-barrel carburetor and a black single-snorkel air cleaner.
While under the hood you'll also find that this C10 is outfitted
with power steering and power brakes (front discs and rear drums).
The V-8 is mated up to a 3-speed automatic transmission that shifts
smoothly as it sends power to the 10-bolt rear axle. Exhaust flows
through cast manifolds and dual mufflers before exiting with a nice
rumble.
Swing open the cab door to reveal a teal and black interior with
patina that matches the exterior. The steel doors are two-tone teal
and green with black armrests and period hardware. The bench seat
is covered in black vinyl with green seatbelts. The seat is
comfortable, but it does have some seam-splitting on the bottom of
the driver's side. Underfoot is sun-faded green hook & loop carpet
while overhead is an uncovered steel roof. On the transmission
tunnel is an aftermarket black plastic cupholder/caddy that's sure
to come in handy. Ahead of the driver is an OEM 3-spoke steering
wheel on a stationary column with a column shifter and an attached
aftermarket tachometer (the horn is inop.). The patina'd dash has a
crack-free black vinyl dashpad and a worn OEM black gauge bezel.
Within the bezel are controls for the lights and working 2-speed
wipers, an inop. choke pull, a 100mph speedometer, and working
gauges for battery, temp, oil pressure and fuel. The odometer reads
5,076 miles and the title claims actual mileage at 105,076. In the
center of the dash is a radio-delete panel and beneath it are the
controls for the working heat and fan. Mounted under the center of
the dash is the control unit for the air-ride system. Ahead of the
passenger is an empty glovebox that still has the original SPID
sheet on the back of the door (though it's very faded and hard to
read). On the outside of the glovebox door, a previous owner added
a Coca-Cola bottle opener.
If you're looking for a cool old Chevy patina truck with loads of
style and personality, your search is over! This truck combines the
rugged good looks of a C-10 with extras like a dressed up engine
bay with a 350 V-8, power steering, power brakes, and a bagged
suspension! Give our friendly staff a call today - don't let this
