GTO is finished in its factory color Solar Red code R. The exterior
has a clear coat finish on a straight clean body that is polished
to a high glossy finish. It appears to have all original metal with
great fit and finish. The front urethane bumper fits real nice and
is in great shape. It has retractable hideaway head lights that
work as they should. It has new headlight bezels and turn signal
lenses. All the trim and stainless are in good condition. The rear
bumper has been re-chromed. The power white convertible top is in
good shape. It also has newer weather stripping and window seals.
The engine compartment is nicely detailed with a 455 ci motor, YC
code casting number 485428. It has been completely rebuilt and
balanced. It has factory chrome valve covers, correct dual snorkel
air cleaner, factory chrome valve covers and factory correct fan
shroud with correct fan. Other features are power steering and
power front disc brakes. The engine compartment is painted and has
a black satin finish. The Parchment interior is in good condition.
The front bucket seats and the rear seat have been re-upholstered
and new foam was added. All the interior from the carpet to the
convertible top including the door panels and dash are nice.
Looking forward at the dash, the instrument lenses are clear. It
has a factory AM/FM radio. The heater controls slide with ease. The
console and factory Dual Gate Hurst shifter are in great shape. The
dash pad has a few cracks on top. All the knobs and switches are in
great shape. It also features factory GM front and rear seat belts.
The undercarriage is all clean metal. The floors are all clean
metal and finished in black satin, no undercoating. The bottom of
the motor is clean. The Turbo 400 automatic transmission is clean
as well. The rear end is the original 3:55 rear end gears. The
brake system has been gone through. It has a dual exhaust system
with correct mufflers and hangers and runs all the way out the
back. The E-brake system is complete and working. Floors are all
dry, clean metal, no patches or repairs. The trunk is detailed with
a spare tire and jack assembly. The trunk is all original metal
with zero rust or patches. It has the jacking instructions decal on
the bottom of the trunk lid and new trunk weather stripping. This
is a gorgeous car! It has desirable features! A rare find! A
