2006 Ford Mustang GT convertible customized by the legendary Ring
Brothers. 19,969 original miles. Beautifully finished with numerous
cosmetic, interior, and performance upgrades. Why own a
garden-variety Mustang when you can own an icon?If you're not
familiar with the Ring Brothers or their incredible Mustang
resto-mods, we'll wait while you go look them up.Back?Cool. Now you
know why this 2006 Ford Mustang GT convertible is special. With
typical Ringbrothers attention to detail, this beautifully finished
Mustang takes everything that's great about Ford's erstwhile pony
car and turns it up to 11. Built as a more accessible way to own a
custom Mustang, this GT incorporates a number of slick body
modifications that make it stand out in a good way. From the custom
front fascia and hood to the very trick fender vents to the rear
wing, this Mustang still looks like a Mustang but it's when you
take a closer look that all the unique details become apparent.
There's a wide grille up front with the familiar Ringbrothers 'R'
emblem, and with the back stripe down the center of the hood, this
late-model Mustang looks like it was inspired by their
award-winning early Mustang, Copperback. The familial resemblance
is tangible, but this one can be owned for far less than the big
six-figure price tag on the '67. With just 19,969 miles on the
clock, it remains in first-rate condition with virtually zero signs
of use. The paint is deep and glossy the way only a show car's
paint can be, fit and finish are exemplary, and the cohesive design
is far better than a lot of aftermarket Mustangs we've seen. It's
still a Mustang, but everyone is going to have questions about why
it looks so special. The interior is finished with beautiful bright
red leather with black accents, perfectly complementing the
bodywork. Those are factory Mustang buckets, so they're comfortable
and easy to adjust, and there's virtually zero wear on any of the
seating surfaces. Stock Mustang gauges, steering wheel, and
secondary controls feel familiar and everything works properly.
There's an upgraded Eclipse head unit in the center of the dash
with additional entertainment options, and it sounds awesome even
with the top down. Overhead, there's a custom light bar that gives
the Mustang a sporting look and the back seat is big enough for
adults on short trips, so go ahead and have some fun with your
friends. The black power convertible top stows itself in seconds
with a touch of a button, and the top-down stack looks so clean, a
boot is completely unnecessary. The trunk looks completely unused,
and includes the space-saver spare that's never been down. The
4.6-liter V8 under the hood provides plenty of punch and by keeping
it mostly stock, reliability is uncompromised. But stock doesn't
mean underpowered?there's 300 horsepower on tap and a big hit of
torque at any speed, which is the Mustang's hallmark. The engine
bay is super clean and nicely detailed, and given the condition of
the undercarriage, we're thinking this car has lived a very easy
life. Factory hardware means parts and service are easy, and if you
do need more power, well, the massive Mustang aftermarket has you
covered. Adding more power should be easy, too, with the
Ringbrothers custom suspension that includes upgraded springs and
shocks that give it a killer stance, massive Baer vented and
cross-drilled disc brakes, and a great-sounding dual exhaust system
that makes every drive feel special. The 5-speed automatic
transmission doesn't hold back performance, and 3.31 gears out back
on a limited slip make it feel quick around town but relaxed on the
highway. Original factory finishes, coatings, and markings are
still visible throughout the undercarriage, suggesting a life
outside of harsh winters. And those 20-inch multi-piece custom
wheels are unique to the Ringbrothers build, and they carry huge
255/35/20 front and 285/30/20 rear Michelin performance radials
with lots of life left in them.Documentation includes a full set of
factory owner's manuals in the original binder. There are plenty of
cool Mustangs out there, but when you look at the quality and
distinctiveness of a Ringbrothers build, this one stands apart.
With bulletproof Mustang mechanicals and a few custom touches, this
cool GT is elevated to a different level, offering a fine
opportunity to own a bespoke, custom Mustang with a pedigree for a
fraction of the cost of an all-out build. And it's still practical,
too! If that's your kind of fun, give us a call today!Harwood
