This 1957 Chevrolet 3100 is the kind of truck that stops people
before they even know what they are looking at. Finished in a
stunning Sweet Chocolate and Copperhead PPG paint combination, this
custom-built Chevrolet blends classic Task Force truck styling with
high-end fabrication, modern drivability, and show-quality detail
throughout. From the custom bodywork to the Birdseye Maple bed,
this 3100 was built with serious attention to craftsmanship.
Under the hood sits a 350 CID high-performance Chevrolet engine,
custom built and dressed by Blue Cricket. The engine bay is clean,
polished, and highly detailed, backed by a 700R4 Stage 2
high-performance automatic transmission for easy cruising and
strong street manners. An aluminum 4-core radiator helps keep
everything cool, while custom 3-inch exhaust with Borla mufflers
gives the truck the right sound without taking away from its
refined presentation.
The stance is exactly what a high-end custom truck should have. A
1975 Camaro subframe was used up front, paired with a QA1 control
arm kit and single-adjustable front coilover springs. Out back, the
truck features a Heidts RB-110 4-link rear suspension with Heidts
RP-104 truck panhard bars, giving it a planted, controlled feel on
the road. Power comes through an Inland Empire aluminum driveshaft,
and braking is handled by 11-inch 4-wheel disc brakes with drilled
rotors.
The exterior is where this truck really separates itself. The Sweet
Chocolate and Copperhead finish was laid down by Colasanti
Classics, while the custom fabricated bodywork was completed by Bob
Cardwell. The body has a smooth, sculpted look with a rich
deep-metallic finish that changes beautifully under the light. The
custom bed is a work of art on its own, featuring Birdseye Maple
wood and a custom fabricated bed floor riser designed to showcase
the undercarriage and suspension detail beneath. Billet Specialties
Legend Series Dagger wheels finish off the look, measuring 18x8 up
front and 18x9 in the rear.
Inside, the truck continues the same high-end theme. The two-tone
tan interior was completed by Phelps and features a beautiful
combination of alligator-pattern material and canvas tan accents.
The cabin has a custom street rod feel while still fitting the
character of the truck. A Billet Specialties Legends Series
Stiletto 14-inch steering wheel, Boese Engineering Arctic White
5-gauge system, custom center console, bucket seats, and Vintage
Air all come together to make this Chevrolet as comfortable as it
is impressive.

This 1957 Chevrolet 3100 has the look of a full custom show truck
with the drivability of a properly sorted street machine. The 350
Chevrolet engine delivers reliable V8 power, the 700R4 automatic
keeps it comfortable on the highway, and the upgraded suspension
and 4-wheel disc brakes make it far more enjoyable to drive than a
stock 1950s pickup.
From the Copperhead/Sweet Chocolate paint to the custom tan
interior, raised Birdseye Maple bed floor, detailed engine bay, and
upgraded chassis components, this truck was built to make an
impression from every angle. It is a high-end custom 3100 with the
right color combination, the right stance, and the right
details.
