No Reserve Classics proudly presents this 1972 Dodge Demon, 418
Stroker, Tremec 5-Speed, Rotisserie Built, Pro-Touring
At the heart of this professionally built 1972 Dodge Demon sits a
potent 418 cubic inch stroker small block Mopar V8 producing
approximately 530 horsepower and 560 lb-ft of torque. Dyno sheets
and build documentation accompany the car, showcasing the extensive
engineering behind this no-compromise pro-touring build. The engine
combination includes Edelbrock Magnum aluminum heads, an Edelbrock
RPM aluminum intake manifold, Holley 750 race carburetor, Comp
roller rockers, Hughes solid camshaft, TTI headers, and an aluminum
dual-snorkel air cleaner setup. The result is instant throttle
response, massive torque, and an aggressive exhaust note perfectly
suited to the Demon's road race-inspired personality. Power is
delivered through a Tremec TKO 600 5-speed manual transmission
modified by Liberty Trans, paired with a McLeod dual-disc clutch,
QuickTime SFI bellhousing, and a heavy-duty 3-inch driveshaft
utilizing Spicer 1350 U-joints and a Viper slip yoke. Out back sits
a narrowed 8 rear axle equipped with 3.55 gears and a Detroit
Locker differential, ensuring maximum traction and durability under
hard acceleration. Supporting systems include a Holley electric
fuel pump, aluminum fuel lines, MSD ignition system, aluminum
cross-flow radiator, power steering fluid cooler, and custom air
conditioning installation for dependable street and touring
performance.
Finished in PPG Black with a House of Kolor White Sparkle Pearl
Demon stripe and layered beneath multiple coats of PPG clear, this
Demon delivers an aggressive and refined appearance that perfectly
reflects the quality of the build. The body underwent
rotisserie-level restoration work with seam sealer replaced
throughout and virtually every component refinished, repaired, or
replaced. Fiberglass bumpers mounted on custom brackets reduce
weight while maintaining factory styling cues, and black chromed
hood pins and bezels add subtle custom touches. Additional
modifications include shaved side markers, filled fuel cap, custom
radiator supports, subframe connectors, torque boxes, dark tinted
glass, and reproduction sport mirrors. NOS grille and taillight
components further elevate the presentation. The aggressive stance
is completed by staggered Coy's C-5 alloy wheels wrapped in
high-performance Z-rated tires.
The custom interior was purpose-built for performance driving while
maintaining comfort and usability for long-distance touring.
Race-style seating with DOT-approved harnesses works alongside a
6-point roll bar featuring swing-out door bars and a removable rear
brace. A custom instrument cluster houses AutoMeter gauges, an
electronic speedometer, and LED indicators, while a leather-wrapped
Tuff steering wheel and HURST shifter reinforce the car's road
race-inspired personality. Modern amenities include Vintage Air
climate control, hidden stereo components with wireless remote and
iPod integration, integrated kick panel speakers, and concealed A/C
controls. Additional thoughtful touches include a
windshield-mounted rearview mirror, custom rear cargo compartment,
integrated speaker enclosure, Halon fire extinguisher, and enclosed
trunk storage area. The rear seat has been deleted in favor of a
cleaner, performance-oriented interior layout.
The undercarriage reflects the same level of engineering and detail
found throughout the rest of the build. The body was mounted on a
rotisserie during restoration, allowing every area underneath to be
refinished and strengthened for pro-touring performance. The
suspension system features Bilstein custom shocks, Firm Feel sway
bars, tubular upper control arms, gusseted lower control arms,
seam-welded K-frame reinforcement, urethane bushings, and Mopar
Performance road race leaf springs with relocation kit upgrades.
Stopping power comes from an upgraded Viper-inspired braking system
utilizing drilled and slotted rotors, stainless brake lines, custom
rear disc brakes, and a Chrysler Imperial master cylinder
conversion. Additional chassis improvements include a driveshaft
safety loop, stainless line protectors, thermal exhaust shielding,
custom skid plate, and reinforced clutch pivot assembly.
