inspected and rebuilt as necessary. The engine was completely
rebuilt and the crankshaft was polished and installed with standard
bearings. The block was bored to .020 and new stock compression
pistons were installed with new small end bushes. The connecting
rod bolts were changed to the later XJ6 style and a new oil pump
was fitted along with upper and lower timing chains, guides,
dampers and tensioner. A big valve head was installed with high
performance camshafts. The exhaust manifolds were porcelainized and
a Bell stainless steel exhaust system was installed. The
carburetors were also rebuilt along with other significant work.
Receipts for most if not all of the service work and restoration
come with this car as well. This Jaguar had roughly 47,000 miles
when the restoration was completed. This E-type
