I have owned this car for about 3 years. I am a long-time Studebaker Drivers Club member and have been restoring and refurbishing Studebakers for almost 30 years. When I bought this car it was in quite good condition but needed a little work. It is now a beautiful straight rust free 2 door Regal with an older repaint that has held up extremely well and has a very nice original interior. It has the 170 OHV six cylinder engine with a 3 speed manual transmission. Although it does not have overdrive, it does have a 3.73 axle which, in my opinion, is ideal for this car. It has great acceleration but the engine is only turning about 2500 rpm at 55-60 mph. Everything that needed work has been rebuilt or replaced. Everything works perfectly except the heater, which is not connected, because I do not drive in cold weather and do not use it. The car runs and drives perfectly. It has always been garaged and never driven in bad weather, including rain. It needs nothing to drive and enjoy and gets lots of complements. I am selling it because I need the garage space for another car to restore.
