Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1989 Porsche 911 Carrera
Cabriolet. Finished in Grand Prix White with a black convertible
top over tan leather interior, and under present ownership since
2002. Excellent paint and body with no accidents reported on the
CarFax; showing 59k miles but the speedometer was replaced in the
late 1990s prior to present ownership and the true mileage is
unknown. All VIN stickers and options code label remain in place.
The 16-inch Fuchs wheels are in great shape. In terms of external
cosmetics, this is one of the nicest we've seen.
Interior is believed to be original; the seats have been re-dyed
and are showing some patina, and there is light wear to the top of
the steering wheel, but the carpets, door panels and convertible
top are in good original condition. All gauges are clear and
working, aside from the odometer. Most 3.2 Carreras Cabs were
optioned with a power top, but this one left the factory with a
manual top - which we actually prefer. The mechanism is easy for
one person to operate, and that's one less thing to break. Both the
top and the rear window are in very nice condition.
Under the hood is a 3.2 liter flat six mated to a G50 five-speed
manual transmission. This G50 Carrera Cab has been enjoyed as an
occasional weekend driver for the last 24 years. Although it runs
and drives well (see video), it has some deferred maintenance needs
(tires are due for replacement due to age, although they are not
dry rotten and have plenty of tread). It's also due for an
alignment and a right rear axle boot. A/C and stereo are both
inop.
Jack, spare, tools, air pump, owner's manual and stamped service
book are included with the sale. Desirable color combination,
excellent paint and body, no accident history, all accessories
included - with some minor mechanical sorting this G50 Carrera
Cabriolet will make its next owner a great car. For more
