Vintage American trucks are more popular than ever, and none are more desirable than the 1968-1972 Chevrolet C10 pickups. If you have been searching for a gorgeous, high-end classic Chevrolet pickup w/ all of the right stuff, then we think we have just the truck for you!
'Red Hills Rods & Classics' is proud to offer you this absolutely stunning 1970 Chevrolet C10 Custom Pickup, the recipient of a no-expense spared nut & bolt frame-off restoration/build that was just completed within the last couple of months. This pickup is an absolute show-stopper, and was built by a gentleman who poured his heart & soul into creating what he believed to be the 'perfect' C10 pickup. Countless man-hours were spent making sure that the body panels are laser straight all of the way around the truck w/ precise gaps throughout. It was then lathered in Tuxedo Black paint and polished to a mirror-like shine. You really have to see this truck in person to appreciate how beautiful the paint is. It looks like black chrome. Other features include: brand new grille, brand new bumpers, LED lighting, rear wheel wells tubbed, smoothed tailgate, rear bumper bracket block off plate, relocated aluminum fuel tank, hidden antenna, bed liner, and more. The widened wheel wells in the bed were done to look factory correct, which looks awesome. All of the stainless-steel trim, emblems, marker lights, headlight housings, door handles, etc., are new and in show-quality condition. The frame was completely sand-blasted & powder coated in gloss black, and features modified cross members, w/ the front shock mounts relocated. Other chassis features include: CPP 3"/5" drop, tubular A-arms up front, tubular long arms in the rear, new coil springs front & rear, front & rear sway bars, panhard bar (rear), 12-bolt Posi rear differential w/ 3.42 gears, finned aluminum differential cover, new bearings, and on & on. The undercarriage is as clean & tidy as the top side of the truck, which is really saying something (please see photos). This C10 has a perfect stance, and rolls on Intro polished billet wheels (20" x 12" on the rear & 20" x 7" up front), wrapped w/ beefy Nitto Motiva radial tires (315/35/ZR20 on the rear & 245/40/ZR20 up front). You can walk around this truck a hundred times and it looks absolutely perfect from every angle.
When you open the driver's door, you will find a gorgeous custom interior that is as functional as it is beautiful. Lizard Skin was used on the entire cab for sound deadening & heat protection, and all new weather stripping was installed as well. Interior features include: new bucket seats wrapped in black faux-leather w/ white stitching, matching door panels, black headliner, Classic Instruments gauge cluster in Classic White, tilt-steering column w/ custom wrapped billet steering wheel, billet door handles, billet foot pedals, custom-built center console w/ charging ports & wireless smartphone charger, Old Air Products air conditioning system, 1000-watt Pioneer amplifier w/ (2) 6 x 9 speakers in the rear & (2) 6" speakers on the kick panels, all new wiring harness, and new black carpeting throughout. Again, this interior is gorgeous, super comfortable, and fully functional in every way.
Pop-open the hood and nestled inside the spotless engine bay resides a completely rebuilt GM LS2 6.0 Liter V8 motor, featuring Wiseco forged pistons, H-beam connecting rods, chromoly push rods, nano-peened dual valve springs, titanium retainers, ARP hardware, 102mm G-Plus throttle body, custom-built air filter assembly w/ K&N filter, aluminum dual-pass radiator w/ dual fans, Gibson headers, 3" custom exhaust system w/ 12" Gibson mufflers, and more! The motor is linked to a new 4L80E highly durable, 4-speed automatic transmission, featuring a 2800 stall converter from Hughes Transmissions, and a transmission oil cooler w/ an electric fan, which feeds power to the 12-bolt Posi rear end w/ 3.42 gears. She fires up instantly, settling into a nice smooth idle, and she runs, drives and performs beautifully in every way. The steering was greatly improved by adding a CPP quick-ratio steering box connected to a hydraulic booster, w/ a Double D-Shaft damper. The truck's stopping power comes from a hydraulic brake booster (hydroboost) w/ CPP drilled & slotted discs on the front & rear. An electric e-brake was installed as well, w/ the on/off button in the lighter position, which is extremely cool. This custom C10 pickup is an absolute blast to drive and will get more attention than you have ever had in your life. Anywhere that you decide to go, there will be folks gathered around snapping photos on their smartphones. A lot of love, sweat and time went into creating this custom pickup, but the final result was well worth it.
