The 1970 Ford Mustang was an updated version of the
first-generation Mustang, offering more aggressive styling and
powerful performance. It featured a revised front end with a more
pronounced grille and a more muscular design overall. The '70 model
marked the end of the original Mustang era before the much larger
1971 model arrived.
Fully Restored-
This 1970 Mustang convertible has been carefully restored (2016)
and is a handsome example of the model. The exterior was refinished
in Bright Red (not original color) that is accented by sport
mirrors, nice chrome and American Racing alloys that mount Michelin
radials. (A custom car cover is also included.) The convertible's
new black vinyl interior was also refreshed and shows very well.
The Mustang is equipped with the factory analog gauge package with
tach, sport wheel, aftermarket AM/FM sound system and
power-assisted convertible top.
Powered by 351 Cleveland-
Originally equipped with a 302ci/2V Windsor (F-code), the Mustang
is now said to be powered by a 351ci Cleveland that has been
rebuilt and fitted with an aluminum intake/4-barrel carb and MSD
ignition. Cooling is managed by an aluminum radiator with electric
fan. Torque is transferred to a C-4 Cruise-O-Matic transmission and
open differential with 2.79:1 gears. The solid chassis is equipped
with power steering, power slotted disc/drum brakes with dual
master, new fuel tank and custom dual exhaust system.
The owner is now ready to pass this 'Hoss' on to its next owner -
why not you?
