The Jeep was the worlds first mass produced civilian 4-wheel drive.
It was built from 1945 through 1986, over 40 years! It was built
and sold under a variety of names and it is essentially still being
produced just in a different form. Over 1.5 Million Jeep CJ's were
sold making the model probably the most successful utility vehicles
ever made. This particular CJ2A has had a complete frame-off
restoration with a brand new tub. There are over $19,000 in just
parts receipts....That is no labor. It is essentially a new 1947
Jeep that runs, drives and stops probably better than when it was
new. It comes with some miscellaneous parts, a tow bar, spare wheel
and side mount bracket, owners manual and all receipts from the
build. It starts and idles perfectly with no smells or leaks and is
ready to be enjoyed with no known needs. The 6-volt system was
replaced with an 8-Volt system. The floor starter was converted to
a key type but it is all there and could be put back to stock and
is currently running on non-ethanol fuel. It may only be able to do
40 MPH but it also can probably climb a tree! We encourage any
questions or inpsections here in our Traverse City location!
