INTRODUCTION: The '39 Ford by Coast to Coast is one of the slickest
interpretations you'll come across- taking the original vision and
elevating it into something far more modern and refined. This one
in particular was built to a very high show quality standard!
EXTERIOR: The body is a work of art, with flowing, curvaceous lines
and a futuristic edge. Every panel is smooth giving it a seamless,
sculpted appearance. The doors open by remote, adding to the clean,
uncluttered look. The Tangerine Candy metallic paint is absolutely
stunning, laid out evenly and buffed to a deep, glass like gloss.
It's a bold color that perfectly complements the car's dramatic
design. Up front, the signature "angel wing" chrome grilles are
paired with teardrop headlights that cleverly house concealed turn
signals behind Ford script lenses. It's equipped with power
windows, sport mirrors, and a removable hardtop for versatility.
Around back, the design is so clean you'll swear it has no
taillights- until they illuminate. They're flush mounted and color
matched, with a recessed license plate and a flush fuel door
continuing the smooth theme. It sits just right on a set of Foose
chrome wheels: 17s up front and 18s in back wrapped in Nitto
performance tires.
INTERIOR: This is a first class interior, meticulously crafted by
Steve Holcomb of Pro Custom Auto Interiors. The fit and finish are
outstanding, tight, precise, and free of any wrinkles or
imperfections. The door panels are beautifully designed, wrapped in
leather with contrast stitching, accented by tasteful fabric
inserts and unique chrome trim. The seats are done to match, tying
the whole interior together with a cohesive, upscale look. A custom
center console adds both style and function, featuring a sliding
compartment that reveals cup holders and power window switches,
with Vintage Air controls and a touchscreen infotainment system
integrated at the front. Even the firewall area is boxed and
upholstered, showing the level of detail throughout. The floor is
dressed in premium carpet with matching mats with leather bound
edges, while the headliner under the hardtop is finished to
complement the rest of the interior. The dash is clean and
uncluttered, with many controls cleverly hidden. A set of AutoMeter
gauges keeps it functional, and the polished tilt column has a
sharp looking steering wheel. The audio system is subtly integrated
with speakers concealed behind custom chrome grilles. LED interior
lighting adds a modern touch, and at six feet tall, there's still
plenty of comfort and room inside. polished tilt column.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Under the hood is a true showpiece! The LS1,
built by Street & Performance, is dressed to impress with chrome
and polished components throughout, including the intake. It's as
much about presentation as it is performance. The front of the
engine features a full serpentine system with polished pulleys,
brackets, alternator, A/C compressor, and power steering with a
remote reservoir- all neatly arranged and gleaming. It runs cool
with a custom aluminum radiator, chrome shroud, electric fan, and a
polished overflow bottle. Surrounding it all is a smoothed and
glossy, body color engine bay that mirrors the quality of the
exterior. It's detailed, deliberate, and executed at a very high
level.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The trunk compartment is also beautifully
executed by Steve Holcomb, finished to match the interior with the
same level of precision. It's fully boxed and upholstered with a
clean, carpeted floor, giving it a tailored, high-end appearance. A
front compartment opens to access the polished fuel tank and other
miscellaneous otems. It's supported by a stainless prop rod, and
LED lighting automatically illuminates the space when opened,
another thoughtful touch that highlights the craftsmanship
throughout.
UNDERSIDE: This car is a true showpiece where craftsmanship and
function come together with a brilliant, polished finish. The
chassis and frame have been completely smoothed and painted in
glossy body color, including the floors, creating a seamless, high
end presentation. Just about everything else sparkles in chrome. Up
front, it's equipped with chrome tubular upper and lower control
arms, coilover adjustable gas shocks, and a rack and pinion
steering system. Out back is a four link suspension with polished
tubular control arms and matching coilovers. The exhaust is a work
of art- coated headers attach to an all stainless, TIG-welded,
featuring polished resonators, an X-pipe, and MagnaFlow mufflers.
It has drilled and slotted disc brakes at all four corners with
polished billet calipers, and even the master cylinder and power
booster are chromed. The fuel tank is painted to match the car for
a clean, cohesive look. Looking up at the motor, it's spotless with
an aluminum oil pan and high torque starter. The 4L60E overdrive
automatic is just as detailed and includes a remote finned aluminum
cooler. A painted driveshaft with polished billet U-joints connects
to a heavy duty 9-inch rear end with 3.50 posi gears. It's not just
clean- it's artfully executed and built to perform!
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we
built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and
hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car
we sell.
CONCLUSION: Mechanical jewelry keeps coming to mind when I'm
describing this car. The attention to detail when it was built is
very impressive. I've bought and sold several of these and seen
many others, I would say this one is certainly one of the best. It
is such an exotic looking car that will turn heads wherever you
decide to take it!
